   The Guilderland Police Department is located in the town of Guilderland, Albany County, New York and borders the city of Albany, and the towns of Colonie, Rotterdam, Voorheesville, Bethlehem, Knox, and Princetown. The police department was established in 1972 and has grown to over 40 sworn members that serve over 32,000 residents. It is a 24 hour department and covers approximately 62 square miles of both rural, residential and commercial areas. As the police department does not have an "official" website, the Guilderland P.B.A. has taken the liberty of providing some information for you on your police department.
