Guilderland P.B.A. 2009-2010 Fund Drive Letter
Dear Members of our Community,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who donated
last year to our fund-raising efforts. We, at the Guilderland Police Benevolent Association, once again have been able to support many organizations, and it is our commitment to provide the same level of support to
the community. This year we have contracted with our friends at ROI to provide our fund raising mailer, which supports this great organization. Our members have a vested interest in keeping the Town of Guilderland a great and safe place, as a majority of our members work, live, and provide a quality of life for their families in the town of Guilderland. It is also the goal of this association and our members to endeavor to provide that same quality of life for you and your family.
The Guilderland PBA can be found on the internet at www.guilderlandpba.org. Since the police department does not have an official web site, the PBA has taken the liberty of adding police department information to our site including history, organization, photographs, programs
and sex offender notifications, among other things. Please take a moment and visit our site.
The Guilderland PBA is the only police organization in the Town of Guilderland that provides direct support to the residents and businesses
in the town. Our organization supports many different youth related programs, as well as advocates for people who are in need. If you
are getting calls from other police organizations that claim to support town organizations, they may be misleading you. If you are in question
regarding these solicitations, please give us a call at the police department, 356-1501. You can also get information regarding solicitation
and legitimate organizations from the NYS Attorney General's office.
We are currently conducting our 2009/2010 residential fund drive. This fund drive is ONLY conducted by mail, with NO phone calls to your
residence, and 100% of your tax deductible donation going directly to the Guilderland PBA. We will also be continuing our Gold Sticker program, which provides notable gold sticker for your use, for those who donate fifty dollars or more. We once again thank you for your continued support of our organization and the generosity that you have provided over the years.
The
Guilderland P.B.A . relies on donations from the community to help us
achieve the goals we set. Our main goal, as stated, is to support other
interest groups. Each year the P.B.A. conducts a fund drive. To be less
intrusive the drive is conducted by mail only. No phone calls are made
to residents homes.
With your help we will continue to support the community in which we serve.
